There are flights available from Bali, Lombok, Jakarta, and Surabaya to Kupang [KOE] the 1st stop on your trip.
Once in Kupang, there are two primary modes of transportation for getting to Rote Island, you can take a connecting flight and the second option is by sea, with Fast and Slow ferry boats departing from Kupang Harbor. The Fast ferry takes approximately 2 hours, while the Slow ferry takes around 4 hours.
It’s important to note that schedules may be subject to change, so we recommend checking with local transportation providers for the most up-to-date information. Manduna offers free high-speed Wi-Fi, Smart TV in the restaurant area with Netflix, Prime, Apple TV, Youtube, restaurant for guests only, 2 pools, beach volley court, beach tennis court, fully equipped gym, jiu-jitsu mats, a hydroponic farm, Reverse Osmosis water purification system among other amenities. We provide bicycles for you to ride around and kayaks so that you can have some fun in our stunning beach.
Rote Island is a very safe place to visit, and the locals are known for being friendly and helpful. It is also located in a strategic position that is rarely affected by natural disasters like tsunamis.
Manduna offers a variety of room types to suit your needs. For one or two guests, we have deluxe rooms, and for groups of three to four, we offer triple rooms. In addition, we have a bungalow with a spacious living room with smart TV and two suites – one downstairs with two super single beds, and the master room upstairs with a super king bed and smart TV so you can enjoy your favorite TV shows
All our rooms are equipped with full air-conditioning and hotel-quality bedding, and each has a balcony with seating areas for your comfort. Privacy screens ensure that you can enjoy the beautiful view without needing to close your curtains. The décor in each room incorporates Timor native art, and all our resort rooms have breathtaking views of the two swimming pools and the sea. The bungalow provides views of our courtyard and fitness pavilion.
Each of our rooms has a private bathroom with hot water to provide a relaxing shower after a long day at the beach.

Please note that the Full Board package does not include soft drinks, juices, gourmet coffees or alcoholic beverages. However, we have an excellent selection of drinks available for purchase.
If you opt for the Breakfast Only package, you’ll get to start your day off on the right foot. We have a fleet of 3 boats for surfer’s transport from Nemberala Harbor to the 2 main waves, T-Land and Squilers. The harbor is conveniently located just 6 minutes away from Manduna by motorbike. As part of your stay, we include unlimited boat transfers to surf the 2 main waves. For your safety and comfort, our boats will wait in the channel during surfing time, providing you with a secure way to access the waves.
Please note that our boat schedules are fixed from 6 am to 6 pm. If you want to surf outside of these hours, please let us know in advance, and we will do our best to accommodate your needs.

Rote Island offers a variety of surf breaks suitable for all levels of surfing. While some waves can only be accessed by boat, others can be reached by both boat and motorcycle.
TLand, Boomies and the Outer Island waves can be reached by boat. On the other hand, Squilers, Boa, Oeseli, One Palm, Suckies Mamma and Petrol Bombs can be accessed by both boat and motorcycle.

We have scooter/motorbike rentals available, which are perfect for getting around the island and accessing surf breaks. Additionally, we can assist you in renting ATVs, which give you access to more rugged terrain, and cars with or without a driver for your convenience.
Manduna Resort provides scuba diving and snorkeling experience with comprehensive packages that include a full set of dive gear, a boat with an experienced skipper, a dive master, as well as snacks and drinks for your enjoyment. We outsource our diving and snorkeling services to local operators who possess extensive knowledge of the best sites to explore.
Our snorkeling and diving trips cater to all levels of experience, with options ranging from snorkeling and fun dive experiences with two-tank dives to discover scuba diving that includes an hour of pool training followed by two dives. While there are no money changers available in Rote, you can still withdraw cash at the one ATM on the island if needed. However, it’s important to note that the ATM may not always be reliable, so we recommend that you bring enough cash for your stay and do exchange your currency in your country of origin or upon arrival in Indonesia.
Staying connected at Manduna is easy with our high-speed Wi-Fi. However, when you are outside the resort for reliable connectivity, we recommend setting up a data roaming plan with your home country provider or purchasing a SIM card from TELKOMSEL, the only mobile operator that works on Rote Island. Please note that you cannot purchase a SIM card on the island, so it’s best to buy one before your arrival. You can easily top up your card on the island if needed to keep your data plan active throughout your stay
